I had to go to Deira, which is "old Dubai," for those who don't know. What an experience that was. Streets have no signs, no one obeys any sort of traffic order, and if you plan to go there anytime after 12:00 pm, forget it, you're not getting out of there for another 3 hours because the traffic is that bad. I had to go see a supplier for some design layout stuff and to make a long story short, I had to make a day of it because, well, no one wants to give you proper directions. What else is new?
